Randolph Frederick Pausch is an American educator, professor of computer science, human-machine interaction, and design at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Pausch learned he had pancreatic cancer in September 2006. In August 2007, he was diagnosed with a terminal stage: "3 to 6 months healthy". He gave an upbeat talk titled "The Last Lecture: Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams" on September 18, 2007, to Carnegie Mellon, that video turned into a floating video.
